General Assembly recently took the main stage at Sitecore Symposium to discuss how AI, personalization, and modern learning experiences are reshaping the future of work. The panel—featuring leaders across healthcare, nonprofit, and digital marketing—and moderated by Sitecore COO, Dave Tilbury—highlighted how technology can integrate with the human experience and changes lives.
Representing GA was Jourdan Hathaway, Chief Marketing & Business Officer, who spoke about our mission and the real-world impact of AI-powered training.
Empowering life-changing career transitions
During the session, Jourdan shared several learner stories that illustrate the power of accessible, career-focused education. One story resonated strongly with the audience: a former custodian who enrolled at GA after searching online for “how to become a coder.” After completing a GA program, he became a backend engineer at Shutterstock and now mentors others navigating similar transitions.
Stories like his demonstrate why upskilling—and particularly AI literacy—has become central to employability and economic mobility.
How technology supports a human-first learning journey
On stage, GA outlined how Sitecore helps match learners and organizations with the right training at the right moment. With AI reshaping every industry, leaders are actively searching for ways to equip their teams with practical, immediately applicable skills. Sitecore’s platform allows GA to deliver personalized pathways at scale, connecting individuals and employers with the programs that meet their evolving needs.
A hybrid workforce model: Humans and AI working together
The discussion also explored how GA uses AI internally. One example: GAbby, GA’s AI agentic agent, who contacts thousands of prospective learners each month.
This hybrid model has even created brand-new roles inside the organization, such as Digital Agent Compliance Manager—evidence of how AI opens doors to new career paths, not just automation.

Preparing the workforce for what’s next
The panel closed with a clear message: organizations cannot thrive in the AI era without investing in their people. The future of work requires continuous learning, adaptable skillsets, and accessible pathways into fast-growing digital roles.
General Assembly remains committed to helping individuals and companies build those capabilities—through practical training, innovative technology, and a belief that every learner deserves the opportunity to grow.
